About Super Soccer Camp
Dr. Jay Martin’s Super Soccer Camp strives to provide campers with the best opportunities and environment to develop as a player, just as he does with his own teams at Ohio Wesleyan. Players attending camp will be able to work with the Ohio Wesleyan coaching staff and current and former players who are winners of the 2011 NCAA Division III National Champions. We hope you will be joining us this summer!
A Message from Dr. Jay Martin
In the course of my work with Ohio Wesleyan and the National Soccer Coaches Association, I have had the opportunity to travel to several foreign countries as a guest of the National Soccer Federation. I have visited Brazil and Argentina, as well as many European countries including England, Germany, Scotland, Wales, Russia, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland and Austria. After observing soccer coaching sessions in each of these countries, I have compiled the strong points of each into a unique perspective on coaching. This style of teaching provides the means to develop the proper techniques and habits for becoming a truly competitive soccer player. The teaching is done in small groups, allowing each player to be given ample individual instruction.
REFUND POLICY
A $50 fee will be withheld if notice is prior to two weeks in advance of camp. A doctor’s note will allow all but a $50.00 deposit within two weeks of camp.
If camp is canceled due to COVID-19 we will process a full refund minus online processing fees.
ROY RIKE FIELD
The soccer complex at Ohio Wesleyan University is one of the finest collegiate facilities in the country. Campers enjoy training on one of three practice areas and the lighted game field. The complex boasts an on-site training room, bleachers for 2700 fans, locker rooms and a concession stand. Campers meet with Dr. Jay Martin each morning in the stadium for daily announcements and demonstrations.
RESIDENTIAL HOUSING INFORMATION
All campers stay in the air conditioned residence halls. Campers must provide their own bed linens, towels and alarm clock. Roommates are assigned at random unless requested on the application. Campers are supervised by adult staff at all times. All-you-can eat meals are provided in the newly renovated Smith Dining Hall.
CAMP STORE & BANK
To eliminate the need to carry cash, the Super Soccer Camp operates a “camp bank.” Campers are asked to deposit money (average $40) into the camp bank during check-in. Then, throughout the week, campers have the option of purchasing ice cold sports drinks, water, snacks, pizza (at night) and Team OWU Adidas gear from the camp store. The camp staff will record all purchases and tell campers their daily balance. At the conclusion of camp the balance is returned to the camper.
